The begginig of the colonies AJ

• In the early fifteen hundreds the americas was roamed by Native Indians until the queen of England's advisor had notified and recommended to settle in the new land. The queen agreed to her advisor named Sir Walter Railegh who had paid a sailor named John White. John white was told to bring people to the land, and he had boarded around 800 people to go live in the americas. After 66 days of travel the settlers made it, but they were delayed and rerouted because a big storm. The main reason early explorers came near the Americas was to find a northwest passage that could lead straight to India and China, but it took many attempts to notice it was a failure. 
• When John White along with the settlers reached the Americas in what is now called Virginia. As they went futher into land they noticed that the storm had rerouted the into a swamp. The many disadvantages were that there was only contaminated wtaer, not many resources, nothing could be grown, and there were insects that carried ver deadly diseases. Within 7 months about half of the settlers died from these disadvantages and the disease carrying insects was the biggest problem On the settlers 8th month John White who had became their leader noticed that they were very low on supplies, necessities, and especially rescources causing him to have to return to England and get what he needed. When John White reached England and got his supplies he could not return for that moment. This was caused by the spanish armada or navy which was the most powerful int he world at that time surrounded tiny England. This was a problem because the British would not be able to trade with anyone outside of the country , but they completely depended on it, so England's tiny armada had to fight and they defeated the Spanish armada        John White had created a name for the colony which was Roanoke and reached his colony with supplies. John White noticed that the colony was completely destroyed and ther was no one insight. All that there was left to see was a big and bold carving on a tree that said Croatoan.
