Moon - AJ

  • A full day on the moon, from one sunrise to the next, would last about 29.5 earth days on the average. It has been very lonely too because no one has been on the moon since 41 years ago. The moon is moving away from us by 1.48 inches every year.
  • It would approximately take less than 6 months to reach the moon on a car that would be going at about 60 miles per hour without changing it.  The moon is scientifically proven egg shaped, instead of circle shaped.
  • Our moon is larger than Pluto and 1/4 the diameter of the Earth itself.  Many people experience a good sleep when there is a new moon, but they experience a difficult and achy sleep when there is a full moon. This is a true study found.  Out of six flags that were mounted on the moon only 5 are still standing today.
  •  Your average weight on the Earth is actually 16.5% of your weight on the moon. This cause happens from the amount of gravity being pulled upon you, Earth has much more gravity so it pulls you down more and you get a larger amount of weight. If there are possible two full moons in one whole month, then the second or last moon of that month would be called the blue moon because it is partially blue.
  • When the Earth is seen from the moon it actually goes a couple of different phases. Tortoises were roaming on the moon before human because the Russians wanted to test there new space probe on the moon.

AJ - American Constitution

  • The American constitution was the number one law created in America, and it is the most important law too. The American Constitution was established in September 17, 1787 by the Constitutional convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was first ratified by a few number of representatives from each of the thirteen colonies to be agreed upon.
  • When nine of the states of colonies had agreed upon the constitution, they created a federal union, and they created a federal government for that union. That government had started on March 4 ,1789, taking place of the Articles of Confederation. In 1789, the founding father changed the Articles into the Constitution.
  • The constitution is the oldest federal constitution in use. Since, 1787 the American constitution has had 27 changes over the past years.  The first ten of the changes or amendments were called the Bill of Rights.
  • When the constitution was written in 1787, the Constitution had a preamble and seven main parts, called articles.  The first article had stated that the congress would make the laws for the United States of America. The first article also states how congress will do their business and how they will make their laws.
  •  Article states that president, vice president and executive offices will carry out the laws that were made from the congress.  This article says how the President and Vice President are elected, and who can be elected to these offices. The President and Vice President are elected for four years by a special Electoral college chosen by the states. The Vice President takes over as President if the President dies, resigns, or is unable to serve.
