Sputnik - AJ

• Sputnik is the first ever satellite to ever be sent up into outer space.  was used mainly for research and seeing the outer space.
• On October 24 all of history had changed when the Soviet Union launched the first ever satellite,Sputnik.
• Sputnik the satellite was at least the size of a normal beach ball. Sputnik weighed about 83.6 kg or 183 pounds.
• Sputnik took about 98 minutes to travel all around Earth's elliptical path.The launch  made the Military and other places very unsure about the launch.
• When Sputnik was launched it had caught the whole worlds attention.The day Sputnik was launched the launch had created a U.S-U.S.S.R space race.
