Octopuses - AJ

• Octopuses actually have three hearts. Octopuses move with simple elegance, but they don't actually have a rhythm unlike most animals. A baby Octopus is about the size of a flea when it is born.
• The mimic octopus can impersonate up to 15 other marine animals, including sea snakes, stingrays, Lion fishes, and jelly fish. Octopus wrestling was a popular sport in the 1960s. A diver would fight an octopus in shallow water and drag it to the surface.
• Octopuses are actually eaten alive in Korea. It is illegal in many countries to do surgery on an octopus without any Anesthesia due to their intelligence. 
• Octopuses do not have 8 arms they actually have 6 arms and 2 legs. The Blue Ring Octopus is one of the worlds most venomous marine animals. It can kill you in just one bite, there is no anti venom .
• Despite their walnut sized brain, Octopuses are actually highly intelligent, possibly smarter than any other orders of vertebrates. If two octopuses approach each other and display dark colors the encounter will escalate into a physical encounter.
