- Every year, there is an estimated amount of 1.4 million men and women in the American population waiting to be diagnosed with cancer. Sadly, about 566,000 adults die from this disease every year. But scientists may have found a cure for this.
- Stem cells are found in the umbilical cord of a child. Since the umbilical cord transports food, nutrition and vitamins from a mother to a child, these cells are rich in calcium and other health enhancements.
- Since these cells are so powerful, they may be able to kill cancer cells. By sending the Stem Cells into a cancer patient's body through an immediate injection, we may be able to destroy these cancer cells.
- But the only problem is that cancer cells multiply at a rapid speed, so regular medication is not quick enough to kill them before spawning more. Whereas, if many Stem Cells are injected into the cancer patient's body, the cancer cells may be killed. But, too many Stem Cells can lead to destruction of the bone marrow and blood cells.
- So far, these cells are proven to leukemia and lymphomas, which are both types of blood cancer. If scientists can modify the cells, they maybe able to destroy all types of cancer.
