Why Did the Dinosaurs Disappear? - Navo

  • Something Drastic happened 65 million years ago.According to one theory, an astroid more than 6 miles across struck off the coast of Mexico's Pennisula.
  • The impact created a huge crater, more than 110 miles long.
  • The dust settled, forming the layer of rich clay now formed in sedimentary rock under the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
  • Sciencetists link this global cooling to the extinction of dinosaurs.
  • Other scientists think that the atmosphere also caused the extinction of the dinosaurs.
