Laura Ingalls Wilder - Anita


  • Laura Ingalls Wilder was an American author, most notably the author of the Little House series of children's books based on the life her childhood in a pioneer family.
  • Laura Ingalls Wilder was born on February 7, 1867, near Pepin, Wisconsin and died on February 10, 1957, in Mansfield, Missouri.
  • Laura Ingalls Wilder was born to the pioneer parents, Charles and Caroline Ingalls in their log cabin. 
  • Because they moved so often, Laura Ingalls Wilder and her siblings mainly taught themselves, but attended local schools when ever they could. 
  • On August 25, 1885, Laura Ingalls Wilder and Almanzo Wilder where married in the church. In the winter of 1886, Laura Ingalls Wilder game birth to a daughter, Rose Wilder Lane. In the August of 1889, Laura Ingalls Wilder gave birth to a son who tragically died a month within his birth.
