• Do you like shopping? The answer might partially depend on one factor : whether you are male or female. 
• Most men tend to think that women's indulgence in mall has do with emotional weakness, or inaudibility to resist pretty things.
• If you sent a man shopping, the chances he will walk out of the shop with what exactly he needs is very high. If you sent a women shopping, she would look, rummage, and forage for the best possible option, buy a couple of other things in the process, and come at least ten times happier with herself. 
• Scientist use historical evidence to find out where the roots of women's addiction to shopping is. In 8000 BCE, Males were considered the "Hunters" and the Female where considered the "Gatherers." Men hunted looked for prey, hunted it, and brought it back home while women gathered fruits and vegetables and foraged for the sweet and ripe ones.  
• Once you become aware of the reasons listed above for behavior of each gender, it becomes easier to control and overcome shopping problem. I'm not telling you that you should stop shopping, but perhaps you should shop more sensibly, and bring your buying more into line with your needs than your desires!
