• Obama believes that all Americans should have AFFORDABLE healthcare. Although Universal healthcare sounds much better, Obama understands that universal healthcare is not economically possible. The United States is currently 3.1 TRILLION dollars in debt and rising. 2.) Senator Obama disagreed with the War in Iraq from Day 1. Since the War in Iraq began, over 3,000 young American.

• In February 2009, Congress approved Obama's $787 billion economic stimulus package. It gave tax cuts, extended unemployment benefits and expedited funds for public works projects. The recession ended when GDP growth turned positive by the third quarter of 2009.  In just seven months, it pumped $241.9 billion to the economy, stirring growth to a robust 3.9% by early 2010.

• Barack Obama was born in August, 4, 1961  Honolulu, Hawaii.

• After three years of serving on the U.S Senate, Obama entered the 2008 presidential election. He had gained national recognition for being an excellent speaker and was very popular. His biggest hurdle would be defeating former First Lady and New York Senator Hillary Clinton in the democratic primaries. 

• Barack Obama likes to play basketball and is an avid sports fan. His favorite teams are the Chicago Bears for football and the Chicago White Sox for baseball.
