Sacagawea - Anita

  • Sacagawea was born in 1788 and died on December 20, 1812.

  • Sacagawea got married to her owner at age 10 and gave birth to a child named Jean Baptiste Charbonneau.

  • Sacagawea was an explorer, interpreter and guide for the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
  • When Sacagawea giving birth to her first child, Lewis and Clark gave her a medicine that was made from a rattlesnake's tail to help her give birth faster.
  • Sacagawea later on gave birth to daughter named Lisette Charbonneau in 1810, but not much information is known about Lisette.
