types of Wonders of the world??
- Various lists of the Wonders of the World have been compiled from ancient times to the present day, to catalogue the world's most spectacular natural wonders and manmade structures.
- The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World is the first known list of the most remarkable creations of classical ancient times; the number seven was chosen because the Greeks believed it represented perfection and plenty.
Seven Wonders of the Ancient World
The historian Herodotus (484 – ca. 425 BCE), and the scholar
Callimachus of Cyrene (ca. 305 – 240 BCE) at the Museum of Alexandria, made
early lists of seven wonders.
The classic seven wonders were:

Statue of Zeus at Olympia
Temple of Artemis at Ephesus
Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
Colossus of Rhodes
Lighthouse of Alexandria
New
7 Wonders of the World (2000–2007) was an
initiative started in 2000 as a Millennium project to choose Wonders of the
World from a selection of 200 existing monuments. The following seven made it
to the list.

Enceladus - Enceladus
is the sixth-largest moon of Saturn
The Great red spot - The
Great Red Spot is a great anti-cyclonic (high pressure) storm similar to a
hurricane on Earth.
The Asteroid belt - The
asteroid belt is the region of the Solar System located roughly between the
orbits of the planets Mars and Jupiter.
The surface of the Sun - The
visible surface of the Sun, the photosphere, is the layer below which the Sun becomes
opaque to visible light.
The Oceans of Earth - An
ocean is a body of saline water that composes much of a planet's hydrosphere. The
Pacific,
Atlantic,
Indian,
Southern,
and Arctic
Oceans.
The Rings of Saturn - The
rings of Saturn are the most extensive planetary ring system of any planet in
the Solar System.
Olympus Mons - Olympus
Mons (Latin for Mount Olympus) is a very large shield volcano on the planet
Mars.
